In April 2024, FUND2740 signed a cooperation agreement with the Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF) to support Slovenian impact and social enterprises in their inclusion in the “People and Planet First” scheme.
The People and Planet First verification was developed in consultation with organisations around the world. Verification partners are member organisations, certifiers and service providers that already work with a network of enterprises that put People and Planet First.
Our shared values include taking a collaborative approach and having a global view as we believe that we all have a role to play in building a better world. Recognise that this enterprise model has deep roots in Indigenous and traditional communities and exists under many names and legal structures around the world. Open to learning from diverse experiences. Understand that the current challenge is too big for any one organisation or network to address alone. Open to working across traditional divides.
Verification is for enterprises that put People and Planet First. Verified enterprises include social enterprises, fair trade enterprises, cooperatives, mutualist organisations, post-growth enterprises, not-for-profit businesses, earned-income nonprofits, social businesses, regenerative businesses and more. The focus is on shared core standards, not terminology or legal form.

To be considered SEWF Verified, each organisation must meet the following standards:
- Prioritises: Exists to solve a social and/or environmental problem and prioritises purpose, people and planet over profit in strategic and operational decisions.
- Sustains: Has a self-sustaining revenue model and reinvests the majority of any surplus towards its purpose.
- Protects: Chooses legal structures and financing that protect and lock-in purpose, long term.
Initial verification costs is $85 and annual renewal costs is $70.
