The Ministry of Economic Development and Technology , in cooperation with ABC Accelerator , the Slovenian Regional Development Fund and the Fund 05 – a social investment institution , organized a ” Social Innovation Tournament 2015 ” as part of its activities to promote social innovation and follow the example of the European Investment Bank . intended for the presentation of social innovations offered by innovative entrepreneurs and individuals, social enterprises, etc. as solutions to social challenges. It took place on 27 November 2015 in the ABC Accelerator Hub in BTC Hall D (under the Emporium) in Ljubljana.
43 social innovations were presented , which were evaluated by an expert commission.
The best 15 social innovations received a cash prize of € 200, and Fund 05 awarded additional prizes totaling € 500 (€ 100 for 3rd place, € 150 for 2nd place and € 250 for the winner).
